atromed sulfate injection acts as a competitive, reversible antagonist of muscarinic receptors that is an anticholinergic drug. it works by blocking the activity of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine). this injection is used to dry secretions (saliva, sweat, etc.) from glands before surgery, increases a low heart rate, and decreases intestinal contractions (spasms). it also works as an antidote to pesticide poisoning and reverses the side effects. to reverse the effects of certain drugs given during surgery to relax muscles.

bradycardia is a condition in which the heart rate is slower than the normal heart rate. atromed sulfate injection helps to return the blood pressure within the normal range. thereby relaxes the heart, treats decreased heart rate (bradycardia), and prevents any sudden fall of blood pressure or even severe complications that might have otherwise followed due to low blood pressure.

the most common side effects of this medication are blurred vision and fast heart rate. dry mouth may also occur while using this medicine, so rinse your mouth more frequently, maintain good oral hygiene, and increase water intake.

before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your liver, kidneys, or a history of heart disease and urinary retention. also, tell your doctor if you are taking any other medications for the disease as it may affect the medicine. you need to inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or breastfeeding. avoid this medication if you are suffering from any severe heart disease or urinary retention. alcohol consumption needs to be avoided as it may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol. inform your doctor if you are allergic to this medication.
