Chlorthalidone is a thiazide diuretic, also known as a water pill that effectively removes extra water and some electrolytes like sodium and chloride. It also relaxes the blood vessels, which eases blood flow, thereby reducing blood pressure.
Losartan potassium is an angiotensin receptor blocker (arb) that works by blocking the effects of a hormone called angiotensin ii, which effectively reduces blood pressure, improves blood flow, and helps the heart pump efficiently.
