Description

• Glycomet Trio 2 Tablet SR belongs to a category of medicines known as anti-diabetic drugs. It is a combination of medicines used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It helps control blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. Glycomet Trio 2 Tablet is a combination medicine: Glimepiride, Metformin and Voglibose. Glimepiride, is a 'sulfonylurea', acts by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas. Metformin, is a biguanide acts by lowering the glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from the intestines and increasing the body's response to insulin. Voglibose, is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor prevents the breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose in the intestine. The three medicines together prevent the blood glucose levels from rising to very high levels, thus keeping your diabetes under control.It also helps to prevent serious complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, blindness , loss of sensation in your hands and feet, it also helps to reduce your chance of having a heart attack or stroke.

Directions for use

•  It should be taken as directed by your doctor and in the prescribed quantity.
•  Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water with food. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.

•  Avoid alcohol and try to quit smoking
•  Do regular exercises and eat healthy food.
•  Eat at regular interval. Do not take long gap between meals or snack.
