Misoprostol is used to terminate the pregnancy and in the treatment of nsaid-induced ulcer, postpartum haemorrhage, incomplete abortion, and prevention of stress ulcers. It works by increasing the production of gastric mucus and secretion of bicarbonate, thereby protecting against ulcers. It also increases the contraction of the uterus, increasing the chances of abortion.

Take medicine exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Misoprostol tablet is used alone or in combination with other medications. You must follow caution as excess consumption may lead to serious adverse effects.
Misoprostol tablets' most common side effects include diarrhoea, abdominal pain, headache, anaphylaxis, anaemia, abnormal heart rhythm, chest pain, flatulence, gastrointestinal bleeding, hearing loss, nausea, rupture of the uterus.
