A) No, MONTAIR FX TABLET is not an antibiotic. MONTAIR FX TABLET is a combination of two drugs, montelukast (leukotriene receptor antagonist) and levocetirizine (antihistamine). MONTAIR FX TABLET is used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose and sneezing.

Singulair is a prescription medicine that blocks substances in the body called leukotrienes. This may help to improve symptoms of asthma and inflammation of the lining of the nose (allergic rhinitis). Singulair does not contain a steroid.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telekast F Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Single doses up to 800 mg and doses up to 690 mg twice daily for 1 month, or 240 mg once daily for 1 year have been administered to healthy subjects without the development of clinically significant adverse events, as compared with placebo.

Common side effects of montelukast include upper respiratory infection, fever, headache, sore throat, cough, stomach pain, diarrhea, earache or ear infection, flu, runny nose, and sinus infection.

Montek 10 Tablet should be taken exactly as directed by your doctor. The medicine should be used preferably in the evening with or without food when being used for asthma. Whereas, for allergic rhinitis, it can be taken at any time of the day but at the same time each day.
