Description

Sinarest New Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of common cold symptoms. It provides relief from symptoms such as headache, sore throat, runny nose, muscular
pain, and fever. Sinarest New Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine.
Sinarest New Tablet is a combination of three drugs: Paracetamol (mild analgesic and antipyretic), Phenylephrine (decongestant) and Chlorpheniramine (antihistamine/antiallergic). Paracetamol is an analgesic (relieves pain) and antipyretic (reduces fever) that works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers in the brain known as prostaglandins that are responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine belongs to the class of decongestants that works by shrinking the blood vessels in the nasal passage. It provides relief from congestion and decreases the excess mucus production. Chlorpheniramine belongs to the class of antihistamines (anti-allergic drugs) that works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions.  It provides relief from symptoms of allergy such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, and nasal congestion.

•  It should be taken as directed by your doctor and in the prescribed quantity.
•  Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water with or without food. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.

•  Tell the doctor about the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid possible interaction.
•  If you have missed any dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule.
•  Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.
•  If you drink alcohol while you are taking Sinarest New Tablet, be aware of its effects on you and do not drink more than moderate amounts.
•  Keep sipping water or try chewing sugar-free gum to get relief from dryness in the mouth.
•  Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking Sinarest New, especially if you have diabetes as it may increase the risk of high blood sugar levels.
•  Do not give Sinarest New to children below 4 years of age.
•  Do not take the tablet for longer than 7 days in a row (for adults) and 5 days (for the children above 4 years).
