Description
Telpres- H 40mg Tablet is an antihypertensive medicine. It contains a combination of two medicines - telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide. It is used to treat high blood pressure when a single medicine has failed or is unable to control blood pressure. Telmisartan acts by relaxing the blood vessels and helps in lowering the blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide helps in increasing the urine output, hence helping in lowering the blood pressure.

- It should be taken as directed by your doctor and in the prescribed quantity.
- Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water with food. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- It would be best if you take it at a fixed time for optimal results.

- Telpres- H 40mg Tablet may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, very dry mouth or muscle weakness.
- It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
- Use of Telpres- H 40 Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding is unsafe.
- Limit intake of sodium chloride (table salt) in your daily diet
- Avoid alcohol and quit smoking
- Do regular exercises and keep weight in control
