Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Sample Collection:

Perform venipuncture to collect blood samples accurately and efficiently using a vacutainer needle.

Ensure minimal discomfort for patients during the collection process.

Provide home collection services, visiting patients at their residences as per scheduled appointments.
Patient Interaction:

Greet patients professionally and explain the procedure to reduce anxiety.

Verify patient information and ensure proper labelling of samples to avoid errors.

Offer a compassionate and patient-focused approach, especially for individuals receiving home care.
Sample Handling and Storage:

Follow proper protocols for storing, transporting, and managing collected samples.

Ensure timely and secure transfer of samples from home collections to the laboratory.

Maintain adherence to safety and hygiene standards to prevent contamination.
Documentation and Record Keeping:

Accurately maintain patient records, including test details and results.

Complete and submit necessary proofs and updates to the team promptly.
Quality Assurance:

Comply with standard operating procedures and infection control policies.
Team Collaboration:

Assist in managing inventory supplies like vacutainers and syringes.
Compliance and Ethics:

Follow all ethical standards and confidentiality agreements regarding patient data.

Adhere to health and safety guidelines as per medical standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience of at least 1 year in phlebotomy.

Expertise in using vacutainer needles for blood sample collection.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control practices.

Ability to work with patients of all ages compassionately.

Willingness and ability to travel for home collection visits.
